Legler Orthodontics- Indian River Lagoon Science Festival

Did you know that 17 of the 20 fastest growing occupations in the United States are in the S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) related fields? On our very own Indian River Lagoon, a group of motivated individuals have put together an amazing festival in honor of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics! The purpose of this festival is to help people realize that science is relevant, interesting, fun and an important part of our lives by promoting community knowledge and experience with science-based organizations in the local area. The Indian River Lagoon Science Festival features a variety of science and technology related activities, all with the goal of making science accessible, interactive, relevant, and fun for both children and adults. At Legler Orthodontics, Dr. Lee Legler feels it is so important for children to learn and love science early in their life.
At the 2017 Science Festival we met children of all ages who have the potential to work in the field of S.T.E.M. and even some future orthodontists! The festival took place down on the Indian River Lagoon in downtown Fort Pierce, Florida with nothing but sunny skies, smiling faces, awesome demonstrations, live performances and SCIENCE FUN! At our booth, we showed children and adults a day in the life of working at Legler Orthodontics. We had a braces station, impression station, and an archwire demonstration showing our future scientists how cool it is to be in a field of S.T.E.M. In addition to this wonderful festival, Dr. Legler visits schools in both Indian River County and St. Lucie County talking about dental health, our fun-filled office, and the importance of learning all about the specialty of Orthodontics.

We are so incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to participate as a vendor in this awesome festival and we would like to encourage all the children and adults on the Treasure Coast to mark their calendars for the festival next year, October 27, 2018! See you there!
